Auditor General Darren Noonan, CPA, CA

On May 26, 2020, the members of the Legislative Assembly unanimously approved a motion to appoint Darren Noonan to a 10-year term as the Auditor General of Prince Edward Island. 

Darren obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1990 and received his Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Prince Edward Island in 1992. 

Prior to his time as Auditor General, Darren spent almost 30 years in public practice and within the province’s business community. For 16 years, Darren worked in public practice and achieved partnership with a local accounting firm. He then joined an automotive dealership group in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, where he spent 13 years as a partner and operator. 

Outside of work, Darren has served as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Prince Edward Island and the Prince Edward Island Automobile Dealers Association.
